(June 17, 2009) — Nashville recording artists, the Gaddis Sisters, will be performing on the main stage at Rockin’ for the Troops 2009.

Cassy and Alyssa Gaddis, from Springfield, Illinois, are the newest addition to this year’s Rockin’ for the Troops 2009 benefit concert at Cantigny Park in Wheaton, IL on Saturday, July 18. Their hit song “The Price of Peace” is a military inspired song that speaks of the love and support for soldiers, which instantly got recognition from The National Guard. Both girls are lifelong military kids, and now the teenage faces of the National Guard music campaign. They hit the main stage close to 3pm.

“We are very impressed with the mission of OSOTIL and the results of the organization’s efforts. And look forward to supporting this year’s event,” said Cassy Gaddis of the Gaddis Sisters.

"Cassy and Alyssa are a great addition to the show and will really resonate with the teens in the audience. With so many Illinois families of Guard and Reserve dealing with the hardships of deployment it is especially timely to have the girls be a part of the event,” said Al Keener, Rockin’ for the Troops event coordinator.

“Rockin’ for the Troops” 2009 will again feature Chicagoan Gary Sinise and his “Lt. Dan Band”. Other opening acts include singer/song writer Joe Cantafio, Heartache Tonight (Eagles tribute band), comedian Anita Renfroe, and Byrds co-founder and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Chris Hillman. Proceeds from this event will continue to fund the efforts to support deployed and returning troops and their families. Tickets are advanced sales only and are $25.00. They can be purchased online at www.osotil.org or at participating Jewel-Osco Food Stores (see below).

About OSOTIL: Since 2003, OSOTIL’s mission is to support the members of the United States of America’s armed forces, who are deployed in harm’s way, their families and the returning veterans. It accomplishes this by sending packages to troops overseas, along with personal letters, cards and notes from the community at large. The goal is to provide links between Illinois citizens and soldiers in Afghanistan and
